Vernon Paris and Darryl Cunningham return to ring action sharing the co main events for promoters Carlos Llinas International Productions (CLIP) and Ron Remus Productions next presentation at downtown Detroit’s Masonic Temple on Friday, January 29. Paris will face Corey Alarcon over eight rounds. Alarcon handed highly touted Victor Ortiz his first loss (by DQ) back in 2005 and will be attempting to spoil Paris’ undefeated mark as well. Super middleweight Cunningham looks to notch his eleventh win a row and continue edging his way up the national rankings in his scheduled eight versus Skyler Thompson. Local heavyweights Ali Mansour and Walter Burns appear in separate bouts as well as other hometown favorites Brian Mihtar, Willie Fortune, Sidney Gurley, Ray Darden, and Luigi Gjokaj. Tickets are available through ticketmaster.com or at 800-745-3000. Doors open at 7 PM with first fight at 8 PM.
