Pat Barry retirement dinner!

Las Vegas trainer Pat Barry, owner of Barry’s Boxing Gym, is retiring after 30 years with the Las Vegas Metro Police Department and is being honored on Saturday night. Sheriff Doug Gillespie and Commissioner Lawrence Weekly of Las Vegas will salute Pat who has trained hundreds of youth boxers and is the chief trainer of pro prospects Diego Magdaleno and Alex Mercardo of Las Vegas. Pat will be honored at the South Point Hotel-Casino, 9777 Las Vegas Blvd., South, Las Vegas in the Grand Ballroom on Saturday, January 10, 6 pm. Al Bernstein will be the master of ceremonies. There will be a special boxing exhibition match between former world champions Clarence ‘Bones’ Adams and Kevin ‘Flushing Flash’ Kelly. “It’s a real celebration, with great food and entertainment,” said Pat. “We’re asking everyone to dress in red and black, which are our team colors.” Tickets which include dinner are available at $60.
