Kelly “the Ghost” Pavlik took time away from his training schedule to talk with the media today. Pavlik is set to defend his WBC and WBO middleweight titles on February 21st at the Chevrolet Centre in Youngstown, Ohio against WBC #1 ranked Marco Antonio Rubio. It will mark the second defense of his titles.
Pavlik, coming off the first loss of his career to Bernard Hopkins last October, is ready to get back in the ring. “I’m definitely anxious to get back in there. I’ve got a lot of proving to do. Training camps been going great, we’ve been working on a lot of things and training hard as we always do. I’m ready to put on a great show on the 21st” said Pavlik.
The fight will be seen on a Pay-Per-View basis, and will serve as the headliner to a card that also features former welterweight titlist Miguel Cotto.
