Petch Kokietgym (17-1, 3KOs) successfully grabbed WBC Asia Continental 118lb belt as he stopped Filipino Dondon Jimenea (28-21-4,14KOs) on Monday at the City Hall’s Ground of Khonkaen Province, Thailand. The Thai fighter used his counter-attack tactic to frustrate the Filipino’s aggression, dominating in every round except round one. From round six, Petch effectively weakened Jimenea with vicious bodyshots and almost dropped his foe in round seven. Finally, the show was terminated when the local hero launched a left bodyshot which destroyed his foe for a full-ten count at 0:49 of round eight.

In other action, former WBA top-15 Padjai Yongyuthgym (15-1-2, 10 KOs) won a six round unanimous decision over Filipino Amor Tino (14-13-3). WBC #31 lightfly Saenmuangloei Kokietgym (16-5-3) won a six round unanimous decision over Filipino Rodel Tejares (20-26-4). And Yokthong Kokietgym (12-2,9KOs) stopped Yutthana Sithsaithong in the opening round.
