Petrucci-Miranda for IBF I/C belt

By Enrico “Erik” Crociati

Promoter Davide Buccioni will stage an explosive IBF Intercontinental title clash at welterweight Friday night in the suggestive and historical location ‘Ponte Milvio’ in Roma, Italy. Undefeated Italian boxing superstar Daniele Petrucci (25-0-1, 9 KOs) and South American veteran contender Jorge Daniel Miranda (36-8, 13 KOs) are the co-challengers for the vacant crown. Both fighters are very hard and strong warriors and an exciting and brutal fight is expected.

In the chief support, super middleweight local hero Massimiliano Buccheri (8-1) will fight dangerous stablemate and former kick-boxing star Roberto Cocco (10-5, 5 KOs) in his first quality tough test over six rounds. The others undercard will feature top fighters of Buccioni Stable: former IBF Youth champ at light middleweight Adriano Cardarello, light welterweight big puncher Federico Ranalli and light middleweight top prospect Manuel Ernesti.

For 18 years,® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
