Flyweight contender Julio Cesar “Pingo” Miranda (29-4-1, 22 KOs) will face the experienced former WBC mini-flyweight champion Eric Ortiz (31-8-3, 20 KOs) on Saturday night in an IBF flyweight eliminator at the Palenque de la Feria in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas, Mexico. It will be Miranda’s first fight since dropping a decision in an April world title fight against Pongsaklek Wonjongkam in Thailand. The Miranda-Ortiz clash is the co-feature on the card featuring IBF featherweight champion Cristóbal “Lacandón” Cruz and Jorge “Coloradito” Solis.
