At yesterday’s press conference in Miami, both main event fighters appeared fit and ready for their tomorrow’s Boxeo Telemundo show at the Miccosukee Resort and Gaming in Miami, FL. Former two times world title challenger Antonio Pitalua and former WBO Latin champion Jose “El Gallo” Reyes will clash in a scheduled twelve-rounder with the vacant WBC Latin super lightweight title at stake. Pitalua of Mexico City, Mexico by the way of Monteria, Colombia is ranked #15 by the WBC and brings a record of (46-4, 40 KOs). Reyes of Vineland, New Jersey by the way of Caguas, Puerto Rico is rated # 14 by the WBC and brings a record of (23-6, 8 KOs).
It was also announced that World Cup amateur champion Yunier Dorticos of Cuba will make his awaited professional debut against 40 fight veteran Hilario Guzman in a bout scheduled for four rounds in the cruiserweight division. Dorticos is only 23-years-old and is a prospect to watch out for.
Also former Olympian Athens 2004 Juan Camilo “La Boa” Novoa of Colombia will face Jose Angel Rodriguez of Puerto Rico in the junior middleweight division and undefeated Ronson Frank of New York will exchange leather with Kia Daniels of Kentucky in the light heavyweight division, both fights are scheduled for six rounds.
