A source indicated to fightnews.com that Golden Boy Promotions, through its matchmaker, Eric Gomez may have made a proposal to Reginaldo Kuchle, president of the Promociones del Pueblo company and promoter of current WBC featherweight world champion Jhonny Gonzalez. According to the source, a Gonzalez-Ponce De Leon could land in September on the same card as a Saul “Canelo” Alvarez fight. There is a good chance that the two companies will reach an agreement.
