Ponce De Leon beats Hernandez; Manzanarez avenges loss

Former two-division world champion Daniel Ponce De Leon (45-5, 35 KOs) scored a ten round unanimous decision over Joksan “El Torito” Hernandez (23-6-1, 15 KOs) in a featherweight bout at the Oasis Arena, Cancun, Quintana Roo, Mexico. Ponce De Leon was credited with a knockedown in round four when Hernandez’ glove touched the canvas and went on to win 100-89 on all cards.

Lightweight Roberto “Tito” Manzanarez (25-1, 21 KOs) avenged his only defeat with a third round TKO over Alejandro “Zorrito” Barrera (22-16, 15 KOs). The much taller Manzanarez dropped Barrera in rounds one, two and three. The bout was mercifully waved off in the third. Time was 2:19.
