Porky’s back in action

Undefeated Mexican Rogelio “Porky” Medina (17-0, 14 KOs) will look for another kayo win this weekend when he takes on the dangerous Antonio “Muñeco” Arras (18-4, 12 KOs) this weekend in Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, México. The fight, scheduled for six rounds at superwelterweight, presents a good test for Medina, who is looking to establish himself as a contender. Medina is coming off a tough fight in Tijuana against veteran Cristian Solano. Should Medina get by Arras, he hopes to invade the U.S. to continue his climb toward contention.

    Help Support®

For 18 years,® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
