Russian top heavyweight contender Alexander Povetkin (18-0, 13 KOs) has successfully arrived in New York to continue his preparation for the upcoming non-title ten-rounder, which is set on March 13 at Max Schmeling Halle in Berlin, Germany. Povetkin, whose next opponent is yet to be defined, will be trained by Teddy Atlas. “I’m very happy at the beginning of 2010 and I expect much to come this year,” commented Alexander. “I hope to get a world title shot later this year, and it’ll be the most important fight of my life. However, right now I’m fully focused on my next outing and I don’t want some other thoughts to disturb me.”
