Pozo regains Euro title!

Former European flyweight champion Ivan Pozo (30-5-1, 19 KOs) regained the vacant belt with an eight round  technical decision over Cristophe Rodrigues (15-15-3, 2 KOs) on Friday night at the Pabellon As Travesas inVigo, Spain. After six competitive rounds, the fighters clashed heads in the seventh cutting Vigo over the eye. Vigo’s corner was unable to stop the blood and after round eight the bout was stopped and sent to the scorecards.  Pozo will next face Andrea Sarritzu of Italy. The card was the first of 2009 for Salvatore Cherchi’s OPI 2000.
