Anderson with a style very similar to that of former world champion Ricardo Mayorga was relentless. He constantly was throwing punches from all sorts of angles and on many occasions connecting which got the attention of Fernandez for sure. Fernandez much more technically sound eventually found the answer as he begin to invest heavily to Anderson’s body. The investment payed off as Anderson begin to noticeably slow down. In the end it was a well placed body shot to the midsection that put Anderson down and out for good. The referee began to count but stopped when it was obvious that Anderson was not going to beat the count.
