Prodesa inks Palacios

Former WBC interim minimumweight champ Juan Palacios has signed a multiyear contract with Nicaraguan promotional company PRODESA. Palacios (26-3, 21 KOs) joins an already talented stable of young boxers in the minimumweight division such as current WBA champ Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez (25-0, 21 KOs), WBO #1 rated Carlos Buitrago (16-0, 11 KOs) and highly regarded IBF Youth champ Yader Escobar (23-3, 13 KOs). “I am really happy to get this chance with PRODESA,” said Palacios. “The fact that I’m good friends with various members of their stable makes the transition really good. Joining them guarantees the activity that my career needs and working with them will help me get another title opportunity.”
