Mexican boxing company Promociones del Pueblo presented 43 boxing events in 2012 in different locations in Mexico including 26 world championship fights, and with its strong alliance with Televisa and Corona. They expect to continue to present high class events and major world title bouts in 2013. “We’re looking forward to a great year in 2013, bringing the best of Mexican boxing to Mexico and we’re all ready for events outside Mexico. We have a great partnership and it’s a win for boxing and boxers. Our intention is to consolidate our position as the best alternative for Mexican boxing and we’re in that position. We’re the company that has the best prospects for the future and guarantee of good fights. Our challenge is to excel in every event and in 2013 we’ll continue presenting the best fighters in the country and we’ll bring the best foreign talent,” said PP President Oswaldo Kuchle.
Among the 2012 highlights were a fight of the year candidate between Juan José “Goofy” Montes and Oscar “Ceviche” Ibarra, for the WBF world championship and the “Quien Pinta para la Corona?” tournament in different cities of Mexico.
Big names included Jhonny Gonzalez, Fernando “Kochulito” Montiel, Humberto “Zorrita” Soto, Ava Knight, Arely Muciño, Juan Carlos Salgado, Mario Rodriguez, Sammy Gutierrez and Hugo Cazares.
Also featured were Marco “Veneno” Rubio, Dante “Crazy” Jardon. Abdiel Ramirez, Arturo Santos, Nery Saguilán, Mickey Roman, Antonio Lozada Jr., Pedro Guevara, Alejandro Sanabria, Jose Lopez, Jr. Marcos Villasana, Julo Ceja, Oscar Molina, Adrian Estrella, Rey Vargas, Mahonri Montes, Mario Muñoz, Patricio Moreno and Daniel Echeverria among others.
