Also on the card, WBA female bantamweight titleholder Janeth Perez (17-1-2, 4 KOs) was dethroned by Irma Garcia (6-0-1, 1 KO) via ten round unanimous decision. Scores were 96-94, 96-94, 97-93.
Also flyweight Ganigan Lopez (22-5, 15 KOs), who was originally slated to face WBA interim minimumweight champion Jesus “Negrito” Silvestre in a non-title ten-rounder, instead scored a third round stoppage of late sub Josue Vega (15-10, 12 KOs).
