Quezada to face Walker!

WBC #11 heavyweight Manuel Quezada (27-4, 17 KOs) puts his sixteen-fight win streak on the line when he faces Travis “The Freight Train” Walker (30-2-1, 24 KOs) on July 16 at Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino in Lemoore, California. “By far he’s the biggest challenge I’ve had,” Quezada said of his 6’4, 250lb opponent. “It’s this type of high-profile fight I need to get me to the world championship level. I will not let my fans down at Tachi.” In the other featured bouts, 2008 United States Olympians Shawn Estrada (6-0, 6 KOs) and Javier Molina (2-0, 2 KOs) will face opponents to be named. Local favorites Michael Dallas Jr. (8-0-1, 1 KO) and former female lightweight champion Jessica Rakoczy (30-3, 10 KOs) will also see action. Tickets start at $25. Call 1-800-225-2277.

    Help Support®

For 18 years,® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
