Quigg and Salinas camps reach agreement for WBA title fight

The WBA has reported that representativess of WBA interim super bantamweight champion Scott Quigg and the #2 challenger Yoandris Salinas have reached an agreement to fight for the vacant title. The WBA World Championships Committee had called for a purse bid on Monday in Panama City, but that function has been canceled as a result of the agreement between the parties involved. Quigg and Salinas will be fighting for the vacant WBA super bantamweight “regular” world title formerly held by Guillermo Rigondeaux, who was bumped up to WBA super bantamweight “unified” world champion status.
