Quijano defeats Rubillar

Jr bantamweight David Quijano (15-2, 10 KOs) scored a tenth round stoppage against veteran Juanito Rubillar (48-19-7, 13 KOs) on Friday night at the Kissimmee Civic Center in Kissimmee, Florida. The bout was halted due to a cut suffered by Rubillar. With the win Quijano claimed the vacant WBO Latin 115lb title. The 35-year-old Rubillar, who has had eight shots at various world titles, lost his sixth straight bout.
