Former IBF strawweight champion Muhammad Rachman (62-6-5, 31 KOs) of Indonesia has arrived in Cebu City, Philippines, today, for the scheduled 10 round of non title match against local hero Milan Melindo (17-0, 5 KOs) on March 14 at Waterfront Cebu City Hotel, Cebu City, Philippines. Rachman, 37, is also concentrating to be a parliament member for his country’s election in April. However, he said that he won’t quit from boxing even if he’s elected and pledged to gain another title belt before his retirement as a boxer. Coming to the Philippine Islands with his trainer Alex Rabadeta and namanger Martinez dos Santos, Rachman said to this writer that he will knock out the young undefeated Filipino Melindo in round seven. The main feature bout of the show will involve another IBF strawweight champion Roberto Leyva against the Philippine’s rising star Z. Gorres in a twelve-rounder for the WBO Oriental title.
