Raheem, Camacho Jr. foes named
As initially reported on Fightnews, former world title challenger Zahir Raheem (31-3, 18 KOs) and Hector Camacho Jr. (52-4-1, 28 KOs) will headline in seperate bouts March 11th. The event titled “Latin Championship Night” will take place at the North Atlanta Trade Center and be presented by the Atlanta Boxing Association. The former 1996 U.S. Olympian Raheem will take on Estaban Almaraz (10-3, 4 KOs) of Texas in a 10 round junior welterweight bout for the vacant USBA Southern Regional title. Almarez scored the biggest win of his career with an upset over former world champion Nestor Garza in his last bout. Camacho Jr. will face former TV Series Season 1 “The Contender” participant Juan De La Rosa (20-3-1, 15 KOs) of Texas for the IBF Latino Light middleweight title.
