A fight for a full version of the WBO cruiserweight title between the newly crowned champion Victor Emilio Ramirez (14-1, 12 KOs) and WBO #12 Azerbaijani veteran Ali Ismailov (15-1-1, 11 KOs) is no go on April 11 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. “Two weeks ago we received documents which confirmed that Ramirez had sustained an injury during his training camp”, explained Alexander Yagupov, Ismailov’s representative and vice-president of Jab Promotions. “We hope to get a new version of the contract in coming days. The new date is still to be defined exactly but the first week of May seems to be the biggest possibility. The fight is signed and the preparation is under way for Ali. The only feature to be changed is the date.”
