IBF welterweight champion Randall “KO King” Bailey had a surprise visitor at the Ft. Lauderdale, FL gym where he trains. Former street/MMA fighter Kimbo Slice stopped by to get some work in for his budding boxing career where he is currently 5-0 (4 KOs) in the heavyweight division. Both he and Bailey are Miami natives and know each other well. Kimbo gave high praises to Bailey on becoming champion again. “It was one of the sweetest knockouts [of Mike Jones] I’ve ever seen. Keep your eyes on Bailey and don’t sleep…this is only the beginning,” stated Kimbo.
Bailey, is putting the finishing touches on his training preparations ahead of his upcoming title defense against former world champion Devon Alexander “The Great.” The nationally televised match up will take place next Saturday at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. “I feel great and I am prepared. All that is left is for me to execute on Sept 8th. A lot of things have been said back and forth but there’s only one way to prove who the best is and that’s by showing your skill in the ring…period,” says the always calm and focused Bailey.
