Report: Lucas Browne fails drug test AGAIN?

By Ray Wheatley — World of Boxing

Heavyweight Lucas Browne has reportedly tested positive for an undisclosed banned substance. Again. The Australian star stopped Ruslan Chagaev in a March clash for the WBA title, but was then stripped and suspended after testing positive for clenbuterol. After serving his suspension, the WBA ranked Browne #3 and allowed him to get an immediate shot at their vacant “regular” title against #6 Shannon Briggs, but that bout could now be in doubt if reports prove true. No comment yet from the Browne camp.

For 18 years,® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.
