In an exciting heavyweight fight, former cruiserweight and light heavyweight title-holder Tomasz Adamek got up from a hard second-round knockdown to stop Travis Walker in the fifth round of a scheduled ten-rounder at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. In a rare afternoon card timed to run in primetime on Polish TV, the Polish-born Adamek gave as good as he got before breaking Walker down and stopping him on his feet at the 1:08 mark of the fifth. Walker was also knocked down in a wild second round after taking a right. After that, Adamek stayed in control, winning the third, cutting Walker in the fourth before stopping him on his feet at the 1:08 mark of the fifth . . . Click here for more
