Jackson Asiku tried to fight with the heart of a Mexican on Mexican Independence Day, but that strategy played right into Jhonny Gonzalez’ hand as the former WBO bantamweight champion claimed Asiku’s IBO featherweight title with a resounding 6th round TKO stoppage.

It was a nice 29th birthday gift for Gonzalez who scored the 40th knockout career in impressive fashion in front of 1,153 at the Las Vegas Hilton on the card promoted by Roy Englebrecht and Promociones del Pueblo . . . click here for more
