Vanes Martirosyan and Erisandy Lara battled to take the top spot in the Canelo Alvarez sweepstakes. Unfortunately, neither fighter made enough of a statement as their main event clash at the Wynn Hotel & Casino ended in a technical draw after a clash of heads opened a massive cut over the left eye of Martirosyan.

In the nine rounds of action, Martirosyan and Lara engaged in a puzzling bout. One that appeared to go one way but the judges saw it the other. With scores of 86-85 for Martirosyan, 87-84 for Lara and 86-86, the judges were just as puzzled as everyone else . . . Click here for more
