Aussie super middleweight Ryan Breese (5-0, 3 KOs) stopped Opeti Tagi (17-11, 9 KOs) during the scheduled ten round main event capturing the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council Continental title at the Melbourne Pavillion, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia on Friday. The referee crowned Breese at 38 seconds of round 3.

In main supporting bout, light middleweight Kolby Johnston (3-0, 2 KOs) scored split decision over Daniel Smith (2-2, 1 KO) over six rounds. Scores 57-56,57-56,56-57.

Also, featherweight Jason Maloney (1-0,1 KO) stopped Ngaotawan Sithsaithong (10-15-1) in round one of the scheduled six. Referee Ignatius Missailidis saved the Thai from further punishment at 2:50 after the visitor was on the canvas on three occasions. Maloney is a former amateur star trained by Brian Butler.

In other action, Super bantamweight Ibrahim Balla (6-0, 4 KOs) scored a shutout six round decision over Patomsith Pathompothong (9-2, 4 KOs) by scores 60-54,60-54,59-55. (Balla represented Australia at the London Olympics and defeated Adoubakar Sedduk Lidba of Morocco before losing to Detelin of Bulgaria.)

Cruiserweight Jade Mitchell (1-0, 1 KO) stopped Travis Barton (1-4) in round four of scheduled six round bout. Referee Jim Bolan called it off at 1:45 after Barton had been dropped

Promoter was former IBF 130 pound champion Barry Michael.
