J-Rock Williams destroys Freddy Hernandez

Undefeated jr middleweight Julian “J-Rock” Williams (14-0-1, 8 KOs) scored a spectacular third round destruction of former contender Freddy “El Riel” Hernandez (30-6, 20 KOs) on a Monday night St. Patrick’s Day card at the House of Blues in Boston, Massachusetts. Williams knocked down Hernandez in round one, and put him down for the count in round three with a crushing left to the jaw. Time was :35.

Unbeaten heavyweight Alexis Santos (13-0, 11 KOs) scored a fifth round KO over Sylvester Barron (8-4, 3 KOs). A punishing three-punch combination put Barron down and out. Time was 2:08.

2012 Irish Olympian super featherweight John Joe Nevin won his pro debut against Alberto Candelaria (3-1-1, 2 KOs) taking a six round unanimous decision by a score of 59-55 on all cards.

Junior Welterweight Jamie Kavanagh (16-1-1, 7 KOs) scored a unanimous decision over Andres Navarro (9-4-1, 6 KOs). The fight was brutal and lasted 8 rounds with each fighter scoring with clean shots every round. Scores were 80-72, 79-73, 79-73.
