WBC #4/WBA #7/WBO #5 welterweight Saul “Canelo” Alvarez moved to 31-0-1, 23 KOs with a crushing third round KO over “The Golden Greek” Brian Camechis (19-3, 8 KOs) on Saturday night at the Palenque de la Feria, Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas, Mexico. After dominating round one, Alvarez dropped Camachis twice in round two and finished him with a huge left hook early in round three. Alvarez retained his NABF title.

In a wild upset, super featherweight Carlos Cardenas (10-3-1, 7 KOs) scored a spectacular first round TKO over Rafael “Chocho” Guzman (24-2, 17 KOs). Guzman dropped Cardenas in the first few seconds of the bout, but Cardenas roared back to floor Guzman twice before the bout was waved off. Cardenas wins the WBC FECARBOX super featherweight title.
