European featherweight champion Alexander Miskirtchian (22-2-1, 8 KOs) retained his title with a twelfth round TKO over former world title challenger Andreas Evensen (17-3-1, 6 KOs) on Saturday night at the Blue Water Dokken in Esbjerg, Denmark. Miskirtchian dropped Evensen in round three, but the very game Evensen fought his way back into the fight. Miskirtchian ended it with another knockdown late in the twelfth round, prompting referee Howard Foster to wave it off at 2:23.
Unbeaten middleweight Patrick Nielsen (18-0, 8 KOs) pounded out a twelve round unanimous decision over Patrick Mendy (14-6, 1 KO). Nielsen dropped Mendy in round five en route to a 117-110, 117-111, 117-111 unanimous verdict.
Unbeaten light heavyweight Erik Skoglund (15-0, 9 KOs) scored a spectacular second round KO over Attila Baran (11-6, 6 KOs). A crushing right hand dropped Baran who was unable to beat the count. Time was 2:02.
2012 Olympian featherweight Dennis Ceylan (5-0, 3 KOs) needed just 66 seconds to demolish Marco Scalia (3-1, 1 KO).
In an upset, unheralded light heavyweight Josef Obeslo (3-8-1, 1 KO) stunned previously unbeaten Ismail Oezen (6-1, 6 KOs) with a shock first round TKO.
