Braekhus dominates St. John; Masternak stops Corbin

Unbeaten WBA/WBO/WBC welterweight champion Cecilia Braekhus (22-0, 6 KOs) scored a one-sided third round TKO over Mia St John (47-13-2, 18 KOs) on Saturday night at the Arena Nord in Frederikshavn, Denmark. The larger 31-year-old Braekhus simply overpowered the 45-year-old St. John, teeing off until the bout was stopped in round three. Time was 1:38.

Unbeaten IBF #3, WBO #5, WBC #7, WBA #7 cruiserweight Mateusz Masternak (30-0, 22 KOs) scored a ninth round TKO over Sean Corbin (15-4, 10 KOs). Masternak dropped Corbin in round eight and again in round nine. The bout was waved off during Masternak’s follow up barrage in round nine. Time was 1:01. Masternak claims the vacant WBC International silver belt.

Light heavyweight Erik Skoglund (16-0, 9 KOs) scored a hard fought ten round unanimous decision over previously unbeaten Luke Blackledge (13-1-1, 5 KOs) in a bout for the WBC Youth & WBO Youth Intercontinental belts. Scores were 96-95, 97-93, 96-94.
