Torres wins the Texas Lightweight Championship. Torres’ record goes to 7-6 for his career. Rodriguez suffered his first loss, with his record falling to 6-1.
Lightweight Alexander Lopez, Fort Worth, beat Arthur Trevino, Fort Worth by six round unanimous decision in a back and forth battle. Both boxers were on the verge on going down multiple times during the fight. In the last 10 seconds, they two fighters were exchanging haymakers in the middle of the ring. Lopez won with a scoring of 58-56, 58-56, 58-56.
Welterweight Craig Callaghan from Liverpool, England got a unanimous decision over James Harrison, 40-36, 40-36, 40-36.
In his pro debut, former MMA fighter Aaron Rosa from San Antonio fought to a draw against Dominque Smith of Fort Worth. Both fighters were in their pro debuts. 38-38, 38-38, 38-38. Rosa had a 58 pound weight advantage over Smith in this heavyweight fight.
Tyler cruiserweight Duke Snyder won an overwhelming unanimous four-round decision over Chris Nava of Fort Worth, 39-37, 39-37, 40-36.
Fort Worth fighter Tony Lopez had an impressive pro debut, scoring a first round knockout at the 1:19 mark over Houston’s Isaac Rios in a featherweight clash.
In the first fight, Houston jr welterweight Regis Prograis went to 3-0 with a second round TKO over Anthony Little of Dallas. Little lost his first pro fight.
