European super featherweight champion Devis Boschiero (32-1-1, 15 KOs) retained his title with a hard fought twelve round unanimous decision over Antonio De Vitis (25-3-1, 14 KOs) on Saturday night at the Palasport Arcella in Padua, Italy. Scores were 119-111 on all cards, but it wasn’t easy as De Vitis made all rounds competitive. Boschiero definitely landed the cleaner shots in the bout and deserved the win.
In a rematch for the vacant WBC interim female flyweight championship, Renata Szebeledi (16-9, 10 KOs) scored an upset third round TKO over former world champion Simona Galassi (17-2-1, 3 KOs). Galassi was down in round one and Szebeledi relentlessly attacked until the referee’s stoppage. In their first fight, Galassi won a close unanimous decision in a bout for the IBF super flyweight belt.
