Orozco stops Reynoso in seven

In a Friday night appetizer for Saturday’s Mayweather-Guerrero showdown, unbeaten welterweight “Relentless” Antonio Orozco (17-0, 13 KOs) scored an impressive seventh round KO over Jose Reynoso (16-5-1, 3 KOs) at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. Orozco was in command all the way, dropping Reynoso with a body shot in round five. Another body shot finished Reynoso in round seven. Time was 1:13.

Unbeaten light heavyweight Anthony Dirrell (25-0, 21 KOs) outpointed Don Mouton (11-7-1, 9 KOs) over eight-rounds in a competitive fight. Scores were 78-74, 77-75, 77-75.

Olympian heavyweight Dominic Breazeale moved to 5-0, 5 KOs with a second round TKO over Lance Gauch (3-7-2, 3 KOs). Breazeale dropped Gauch in round one and got a referee’s stoppage in round two.

Unbeaten jr lightweight Carlos Velasquez (15-0, 11 KOs) won a six round unanimous decision over Giorgi Mtchedlishvili (8-5-1, 1 KO). Velasquez scored a knockdown in round six en route to a 60-53, 59-54, 59-54 triumph.

Olympian jr featherweight Joseph “JoJo” Diaz Jr. (4-0, 2 KOs) scored a third round KO over Eric Gotay (3-2, 1 KO).

Olympian jr middleweight Errol Spence Jr. (5-0, 4 KOs) scored a first round KO over Brandon Hoskins (16-5-1, 8 KOs).

In the opening bout, featherweight Joet Gonzalez (4-0, 1 KO) outpointed Alex Chavez (1-1) over four.
