Butler destroys Nieva, targets IBF champ Hall

Unbeaten bantamweight Paul Butler (15-0, 8 KOs) scored a fourth round KO Over Oreste Nieva (15-3-2, 6 KOs) at the Aintree Equestrian Centre in Liverpool, England. A left hook to the body put Nieva on the deck where he was counted out. Time 1:25. Butler is now campaigning at bantamweight looking to get a title shot against countryman and IBF bantamweight champion Stuey Hall. He took home the vacant WBA intercontinental belt. Nieva was unable to make the bantamweight limit at Friday’s weigh-in.

Unbeaten Commonwealth flyweight beltholder Kevin Satchell (12-0, 2 KOs) outpointed Isaac Quaye (25-5-1, 16 KOs) over twelve uneventful rounds by scores of 120-109, 119-110, 120-108.

2012 Olympian jr welterweight Thomas Stalker (7-0, 2 KOs) outpointed Calum Cooper (7-3, 0 KOs) over eight by a score of 78-75.

Jr middleweight Ronnie Heffron (15-1, 5 KOs) edged previously unbeaten John Thain (11-1, 1 KO) by a score of 96-95. Thain was deducted a point in round eight for a low blow which ultimately made the difference.

Unbeaten lightweight Terry Flanagan (23-0, 7 KOs) topped Gyorgy Mizsei Jr (17-9, 10 KOs) over eight by a score of 80-72.
