Arthur Abraham (39-4, 28 KOs) is a world champion again after winning the third fight in his trilogy with reigning WBO super middleweight champion Robert Stieglitz (46-4, 26 KOs)by split decision on Saturday night at the GETEC Arena in Magdeburg, Germany. Stieglitz came out aggressively in round one. Abraham began noticeably swelling above the left eye after round two. Lots of wrestling. Stieglitz continued to initiate the action. Good exchanges in round six. Abraham landed some heavy shots in the seventh. Abraham was deducted a point by referee Geno Rodriguez for hitting behind the head in round eight. Stieglitz was deducted a point for holding in round nine. Abraham landed a big shot to close the ninth. Both landed big shots in the eleventh. Abraham dropped Stieglitz in the twelfth. Scores were 113-112 Stieglitz, 115-110 and 114-111 Abraham.
Unbeaten WBO/WBF female middleweight champion Christina Hammer (17-0, 8 KOs) scored a one-sided ten round unanimous decision over Jessica Balogun (23-3, 11 KOs). Scores were 100-90 on all cards.
German heavyweight champion Michael Wallisch (12-0, 8 KOs) scored an impressive second round KO over previously unbeaten Frank Schadwill (7-1, 6 KOs). Wallisch dropped Schadwill three times. Time was 2:11.
IBF Youth cruiserweight beltholder Dennis Ronert (20-0, 14 KOs) retained his title with a ten round unanimous decision over previously unbeaten Shefat Isufi (12-1-2, 8 KOs).
Floridia super middleweight Dario Bredicean (6-0, 2 KOs) outpointed Raimonds Sniedze (9-20-2, 7 KOs) over four.
