Fortuna-Franco ends in draw; Cintron tops Batista

Undefeated former interim featherweight titlist Javier “El Abejon” Fortuna (22-0-1, 16 KOs) and former Cuban Olympian Luis “La Estrella” Franco (11-1-1, 7 KOs) clinched their way to a ten round draw in the main event from Buffalo Run Casino in Miami, Oklahoma. A bout with no memorable moments ended in scores of 99-91 Franco, 96-94 Fortuna and 95-95.

Former IBF welterweight titlist Kermit Cintron (34-5-2, 28 KOs) won an ugly ten round unanimous decision over Jonathan “Muka” Batista (14-2, 7 KOs). Cintron dropped Batista at the end of round eight, and Batista was also deducted two points in round ten, first for hitting behind the head and then hitting on the break. Scores were 99-88, 98-89, 98-89.
