Unbeaten Khabib Allakhverdiev (17-0, 8 KOs) won the IBO junior welterweight world championship with a fourth round KO of reigning titleholder Kaizer Mabuza (24-9-3, 15 KOs) on Wednesday night in Moscow. Southpaw Allakhverdiev got off to a good start by knocking Mabuza down in round one. He finished the job in round four, putting Mabuza on the deck twice in round four.
Unbeaten jr welterweight Eduard Troyanovsky (11-0, 8 KOs) recovered from a ninth round knockdown to stop Claudinei Lacerda (14-3, 10 KOs) in round ten with just ten seconds left in the bout.
Earlier, WBC #7/WBA #10 cruiserweight Grigory Drozd (25-1, 25 KOs) needed just 39 seconds to stop Fabio Garrido (25-3, 21 KOs)
