After one year of inactivity, Puerto Rican super featherweight puncher, Miguel “Mikito” Soto (11-0, 11 KOs) returned and not surprisingly defeated John Wampash (1-8-2, 1 KO) by TKO in fourth round on a boxing card last Saturday, April 20, at the Manuel “Petaca” Iguina Coliseum in Arecibo, Puerto Rico.

Jose Acevedo, president of Free Agent Boxing Management said: “We are very pleased with what we saw in ‘Mikito”. All the fans saw a different fighter who demonstrated that he not only depends on power punches, but on great boxing skills too.”

    Help Support®

For 18 years,® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.

Please consider helping out. You’re not obligated to, but even a $1 pledge would really help. And if we reach our goal, we plan to upgrade our server and maybe even nuke the ads altogether. Wouldn’t that be nice?
