Jaguarcito Gutierrez still unbeaten; Canelo’s brother Ricardo Alvarez also victorious

Unbeaten 19-year-old hometown hero Andres “Jaguarcito” Gutierrez (27-0-1, 22 KOs) successfully defended his WBC silver super bantamweight title with a one-sided twelve round unanimous decision over Filipino Rey Perez (17-4, 3 KOs) on Saturday night at the Auditorio General Arteaga in Queretaro, Mexico. The WBC #5 rated Gutierrez brought the pressure was a deserved winner. No scores were announced.

Super lightweight Ricardo “Dinamita” Alvarez (21-2-3, 13 KOs) pounded out a twelve round majority decision over Reyes Sanchez (24-5-2, 14 KOs). Scores were 115-113, 114-114 and an out of touch 119-109. Alvarez, a brother of current WBC/WBA super welterweight champion Saul Alvarez and former WBA super welterweight champ Rigoberto Alvarez, successfully defended his WBC Continental Americas belt.
