Galahad TKOs Dickens; Eubank, Fury victorious

In a clash of unbeaten super bantamweights, Kid Galahad (15-0, 8 KOs) scored a tenth round TKO over Jazza Dickens (16-1, 5 KOs) to claim the vacant British title on Saturday night at the Magna Centre in Rotherham, England. After a hard fight, Galahad, aka Barry Awad, floored a fading Dickens in round ten and the bout was waved off. Galahad was deducted a point in round nine for holding and hitting.

Unbeaten super middleweight Chris Eubank Jr (11-0, 6 KOs) scored a third round stoppage over late sub Alexey Ribchev (15-8-1, 5 KOs). Eubank dropped Ribchev in round three and the bout was stopped during Eubank’s follow-up barrage. Quick stoppage by the referee.

Unbeaten heavyweight Hughie Fury moved to 9-0, 6 KOs when Shane McPhilbin (8-8-1, 5 KOs) quit after round one citing a shoulder injury.
