Super flyweight Oswaldo “Waldo” Castro (14-4-1, 9KOs) earned a unanimous decision over the tough Jose Estrella (11-4-1, 9KOs) in an eight round war with out quarrel. Both fighters had their moments but Castro was able to outbox Estrella in the later rounds.
Brian Sanchez (11-0-1, 8KOs) remained undefeated with a second round knockout over local Marco Antonio Parra (4-3, 2KOs).
After a short lay off, Damian Gonzalez (2-0, 1KO) returned to the ring with a knock out win of Arturo Grajeola (3-1). Gonzalez sent Grajeola to the canvas three times in the second round to force the referee to call halt to the action. The bout was in the super middleweight division.
