Ortiz destroys Castellano in two

Unbeaten WBC #5 super lightweight Roberto “Massa” Ortiz (26-0-1, 22 KOs) scored a second round annihilation of Florencio “Chombo” Castellano (16-7, 13 KOs) on Saturday night at the Palacio de Dome de municipal del la ciudad de Tulum in Tulum, Mexico. Castellano down twice in round two when his corner stepped on the apron prompting referee Frank Gentile to wave it off. Time was :53. Ortiz retains his WBC silver belt.

Unbeaten WBC #10 middleweight Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez (23-0, 19 KOs) scored a one-sided ten round unanimous decision over Richard “La Lamina” Gutierrez (26-10-1, 16 KOs). All cards were 100-90. Fifth straight loss for Gutierrez.

Texas bantamweight Raul Martinez (29-2, 17 KOs) scored a nice third round KO over Juan Jimenez (9-4, 8 KOs). Martinez was returning after losing a clash for the IBF super flyweight title against Rodrigo Guerrero ten months ago.
