The final presser for Saturday night’s “Imparables!” (Unstoppable) card in Ciudad Chihuahua, Mexico, was held today. In the main event, undefeated Chihuahua jr. middleweight Marco “Dorado” Reyes (13-0, 12 KOs) will take on Colombian Beibi Berrocal (6-1, 6 KOs) for the WBC World Youth superwelterweight title. Making his return in the co-main event, former world champ Jhonny Gonzalez (40-7, 34 KOs) will go ten at featherweight against Jose “Pegono” Mendoza (21-3-2, 17 KOs), of Colombia.
Contenders Victor Zaleta (9-1, 5 KOs), of Chihuahua, and Javier “Zorro” Castro (20-2, 17 KOs), of Juarez, are also featured on the card. Zaleta, on the title path, will, in a rematch, defend his WBC Fecombox super flyweight belt against former champ Gilberto Keb Baas (28-19-3, 16 KOs), of Yucatan, Mexico. Castro will go ten at superlightweight against Carlos Castillo (6-1 or 0-4) , of Torreon, Mexico.
The card also features the debut of flyweight Odilon Zaleta, brother to Victor, who will go six rounds against 48-fight veteran Alejandro “Apachito” Moreno (21-24-3, 10 KOs), of Juarez; and a six rounder at feather between Juarez’s Arturo Murillo (5-9) and Chihuahua’s Rafael Proano (1-0).
The card, promoted by Promociones del Pueblo, will be held at the Gimnasio Rodrigo Quevedo and televised on the Cadena Tres network in Mexico. Promoter Oswaldo Kuchle expects a sellout in the 6,000-seat arena.
