On Monday was the final press conference for Thursday’s IBF light flyweight eliminator between IBF #3 rated Luis Rios (17-1-1, 12 KOs) of Panama and IBF #5 Felipe Salguero (16-3-1, 11 KOs) of Mexico at the Roberto Duran Arena in Panama City, Panama. The card is billed as “Objectvo en la Mira” and presented by Promociones y Eventos del Istmo with broadcast on TVMax 9. Salguero thanked the Panamanian people for the friendly reception, acknowledged the quality of his opponent Luis Rios and confirmed that he is ready to give his best.
In the co-feature, super bantamweight Jorge “El Bufalo” Sanchez (7-0, 5 KOs) will see action against the Franklin Manzanilla (9-1, 8 KOs) in what figures to be an explosive bout.
