Flyweight Julian “Chicano” Rivera (12-6, 2 KOs) surprised Edgar “El Power” Jimenez (16-6-1, 11 KOs) taking a split decision to claim the WBC Latin title on Friday night at the Auditorio Plaza Condesa in Mexico City. Scores were 114-113, 117-113 for Rivera, 114-113 for Jimenez.
