Rodriguez ready for Pryor Jr

Undefeated super middleweight Edwin “La Bomba” Rodriguez (17-0, 13 KOs) won’t be able to complain about lack of quality sparring when he faces Aaron Pryor, Jr. on the January 14th ESPN2 Friday Night Fights telecast from Key West, Florida. Rodriguez has recently worked ten days with IBF middleweight mandatory challenger Daniel Geale in Australia, followed by 10 days in England with WBC super middleweight champion Carl “The Cobra” Froch, followed by two weeks in Miami with WBC light heavyweight champion Jean Pascal. “It’s been a great experience,” said Rodriguez. “I’m at the point now where I want to get where they are. I’ve learned from working with all of them but the most important lesson is that elite athletes do not put on more than 10 pounds walking around weight between fights.”
