WBC featherweight world champion in recess Elio Rojas could be back in the ring in May in a rematch against former world champion Guty Espadas Jr. In his only defense in February 2010, Rojas beat Espadas by one-sided unanimous decision. Sources close to Rojas have confirmed negotiations with Team Espadas. Rojas underwent surgery on his right hand in August, which KO’d a unification bout against WBA featherweight champion Yuriorkis Gamboa in September.
