“I defeated Kazuto Ioka in 2007 in Thailand and I am confident I will be victorious again on May 7 in Japan when we will clash for the IBF flyweight title,” said Ruenroeng.

“Ioka has defeated three Thai boxers including a knockout win over Oleydong Sithsamerchai to capture the WBC mini flyweight title. He also retained the WBA jr flyweight title by scoring a knockouts over Wisanu Kokietgym and Kwanthai Sithmorseng. I promise to avenge those defeats by Ioka by retaining my IBF title against Ioka in Japan and then challenge and defeat China’s star boxer Zou Shiming in Macau!”

Jimmy Chaichotchuang who manages Ruenroeng said, “The Flyweight division is hot in Asia where the IBF champion is the
unbeaten Thai Amnat Ruenroeng while Japan has two division world champion Kazuto Ioka and China has two-time Olympic Gold Medalist Zou Shiming. One of them will make history in Asian boxing. I am excited to see Ruenroeng to fight both Kazuto Ioka and Zou Shiming.”

For 18 years, Fightnews.com® has delivered daily boxing news to fight fans around the globe. From the beginning, we have always kept Fightnews free to our readers and relied on advertiser support. Anyway, the Miami Herald, The Guardian, and Wikipedia among others have been using the “crowdfunding” revenue model, so we thought we’d test it too.
